The code for a non-breaking space in HTML is   and is known as an HTML entity. HTML reserves some combinations of characters, and these are known as HTML entities. An HTML non-breaking space is known as a character entity as it replaces a symbol in language with an HTML code.

A non-breaking space does not make not break text into two different lines. It only creates a one character width space in between text.
