Airtable is a cloud-based application used for team collaboration. It’s not quite 100% a spreadsheet, nor is it 100% database but more of an online spreadsheet-database hybrid used for quickly creating robust Internet available applications for one or more people to use.
Airtable, initially founded in 2012, is headquartered in San Francisco, California. By February 2015, Airtable secured $3 million in combined capital from multiple investor sources. Fast forward to September 2020, and Airtable received $185 million in Series D funding. One notable investor who has contributed along the way is actor Ashton Kutcher.
